Our Story

Founded in 2008 in Osaka, Japan, ThermaVerde was built on a single conviction: heat pump technology is the most efficient path to decarbonizing building heating and industrial processes. While the industry debated whether heat pumps could compete with gas boilers on economics, our engineering team focused on solving the real barriers — COP performance in cold climates, refrigerant sustainability, and intelligent system monitoring.

Today, with 520 employees across 3 manufacturing facilities, 65 R&D engineers, and systems deployed in 48 countries, ThermaVerde has proven that high-efficiency heat pumps are not a future promise — they are a present reality delivering measurable energy savings for facilities of every scale.

Engineering Milestones

2008

Company founded in Osaka, Japan. First air-source heat pump prototype achieves COP 4.0 at A7/W35 rating conditions using R-410A refrigerant and DC inverter scroll compressor.

2013

Opened Stuttgart, Germany manufacturing facility. Achieved AHRI and Eurovent certification for commercial heat pump lines. First export orders to 12 European markets.

2018

Launched R-290 (propane) heat pump platform with EN 378-compliant reduced-charge circuit design. Opened Atlanta, USA production facility. IoT monitoring platform connected its 1,000th system.

2023

R-744 transcritical heat pump platform entered series production — delivering hot water up to 90 degrees Celsius in a single stage. Fleet monitoring exceeded 5,000 connected units across 42 countries.
